Building forms

Verify an applicant's email

Ask applicants to confirm access to an email inbox with a code.

Email verification is a light-touch check for public forms. It does not create a Chariform account and does not use Clerk; it only proves the applicant can receive email at that address.

  1. Add or select an Email field.
  2. Turn on Require email code.
  3. Applicants enter their email, receive a six-digit code, and verify it inline before continuing.

Verification is checked again when the form is submitted, so a browser edit cannot bypass it.
