Give responses a reference number

Add a sequential reference like GRANT-0001 to every response.

A reference number gives each completed response a short, sequential id you can quote in emails and match in your CRM. The numbers count up as responses come in and are never reused.

  1. Open Settings and turn on Reference number.
  2. Set a prefix if you want one, for example GRANT-.
  3. Set how many digits to pad to, so 1 shows as 0001.

The live example updates as you type. The applicant sees their reference on the confirmation screen after submitting, and you will see it on the response, in the CSV export, and you can map it to a CRM field.
